Valdorbia
Between the river Sentino and Mount Catria , presents an geo-paleontological outcrop of global significance for the stratigraphy of the Umbrian-Marches Apennines. The site, one of the major fossil deposits of this part of the Apennines, is still considered the best outcrop Toarcian (180/187 million years ago) of this mountain range and point of reference for Italian and international scholars of the the Lower and Middle Jurassic since the end of the last century.
