Built in 1535, contains two valuable Shovel depicting two saints, works of Benedetto Nucci. The Church of Saints Filippo and Giacomo is the parish church of Scheggia and stands in the center of the village next to the bell tower. It was built in 1535 at the expense of the inhabitants of the village. At that time it was a large building that contained within nine altars. Unfortunately, the complex could not resist for long and was in fact damaged by several earthquakes that eventually led to the Bishop Angelelli Ottavio the decision to demolish it. This happened in the 80s of the XVIII century and already in 1785 the bishop decided to undertake the restoration work taking care of the first raising of funds. The work was completed in 1790 and it is then that the Church of Saints Filippo and Giacomo became the parish church and baptismal instead of that of St. Paterniano that had this title so far. Instead of the nine altars they were built only five and maintenance of the Church was entrusted to the brotherhood of the hospital along with the patronage of it. Then the sale is that the bonds were equally divided between the parish priest and the Brotherhood, and finally in 1835 the parish church was solemnly consecrated.
Noteworthy within the church is the baptismal font made entirely of stone dates from the eleventh century, the tabernacle in the Renaissance style renovated several times in the twentieth century and two valuable altarpieces at the sides of the presbytery. These two representations of Saints Filippo and Giacomo which is called the church, attributed to Benedetto Nucci.
